Our Mission and Vision

1.      INTRODUCTION

Nursing is a profession within the Health Care Sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nursing care for individuals of all ages and all cultural backgrounds who are healthy and ill in a holistic manner based on the individuals physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs. The profession combines physical sciences, social sciences and technology in caring for those individuals -in order to provide quality nursing care there is need to train nurses effectively to work as team member of health care delivery system. It is therefore their training should involve positive attitude, knowledge, skills, professional expertise, latest trends in health care needed of the community in the country as a whole.

HIMS and the Hospital concerned is dedicated to excellence in nursing teaching, scholarships, practice and professional service. Nursing education is a unique practice discipline with its own national accrediting standards in legislated licensure requirements.

The mission of HIMS is to help youth in the acquisition of academic and moral excellence, through providing best possible facilities, training educators, and enhancing technical skills.
